What is Purple Non-Sulphur Bacteri
Purple Non-Sulphur Bacteria (PNSB) is a genus of bacteria from the Pseudomonas and Rhodospirillium families. A bacteria that is found globally in soil and is found to have many functions. They have been used for filtering water, used in bio-engineering, animal feedstock and now the newest use is in soil amendments (biofertilizers).
Biofertilizers are non-chemical, non-synthetic soil amendments, using nature’s microbiology to bring back soil health. It is a technique in Regenerative Agriculture where the ultimate goal is for the soil to create an environment of beneficial microbes and minerals to reduce the use of fertilizers and reduce water requirements.
